29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d): Toyota Industries Compressor Parts America, Co., Pendergrass, GA - At the foundry, sand casting department, an employee operating a forklift and dumping sand super sacks was exposed to crystalline silica quartz at a time weighted average (TWA) of 1.8 milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m3), 1.17 times the permissible exposure limit of 1.538 mg/m3. The exposure was derived from a sample taken over 455 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the 25 unsampled minutes, on or about 2/24/16.
