Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures shall be developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees are engaged in the activities covered by this section. a) Worksite, 129 Hanse Avenue, Freeport NY: Employee with the title of mechanic is required to provide repairs and maintenance on equipment such as, but not limited to Folder #5, Washer #1, and Washer #2 with numerous sources of energy. The employer did not develop, document and utilize Lockout/Tagout procedures to control hazardous energy; on or about 9/30/15. Note: In addition to abatement certification, the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
