29 CFR 1910.95(b)(1): When employees were subjected to sound exceeding those listed in Table G-16, feasible administrative or engineering controls were not utilized: 1.) On or about May 27, 2015, the employer failed to implement engineering and/or administrative controls to control employees exposure to occupational noise. An employee working in the sandblasting area sandblasting inside of a rail tank car was overexposed to noise at an 8 hour time weighted average of 103.2 dBA, which exceeded the action limit of 85 dBA and the OSHA permissible exposure limit of 90 dBA.
