29 CFR 1926.651(c)(2): A stairway, ladder, ramp or other safe means of egress was not located in trench excavations that were 4 feet (1.22m) or more in depth so as to require no more than 25 feet (7.62m) of lateral travel for employees: a) 14 Neuville Dr, Somerset (Franklin Twp), NJ Employee(s) where not provided a safe means of egress while working inside a 50 foot section of a 75 foot long trench in depths of up to 8.5 feet, where the single means of egress was the end of the trench that was approximately 50 feet of lateral travel from where a cave-in occurred and where workers had been working.
