29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: a) Machine Shop - On or about March 31, 2015, the pedestal grinder was not equipped with a tongue guard on the left or right wheel, thus exposing employees to struck-by hazards from the wheel or material being grinded. b) Machine Shop - On or about March 31, 2015, the Dayton pedestal grinder was not equipped with a tongue guard on the left or right wheel, thus exposing employees to struck-by hazards from the wheel or the material being grinded.
