29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(15): Ladder(s) were not inspected by a competent person for visible defects on a periodic basis and/or after an occurrence that could have affected their safe use: a- 12 Montclaire Road, Lot 19, Medford NJ: On or about 02/12/15 a worksite company employee was exposed to fall hazards when utilizing a portable aluminum extension ladder that contained missing feet, visibly damaged rungs, etc. This ladder had not been inspected by a competent person prior to it being used on the day of the worksite inspection. IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
