29 CFR 1926.454(a): The employer did not have each employee who performed work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. On or about August 29, 2023, an employee was exposed to a fall of approximately 19 feet while performing siding activities on a residential home located on Lot 244, Victory Lane, Columbia Station, Ohio, 44028. The employee was working from a ladder pick scaffold and the employer did not ensure he was trained on how to recognize and minimize fall hazards.
