Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002E Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.454(a): The employer shall have each employee who performs work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to controlor minimize those hazards. The training shall include the following areas, as applicable: a. On or about December 23, 2011 - at the above addressed jobsite, employees constructing a wooden canopy structure while working on a self made scaffold approximately eighteen (18') feet above the ground, were not trained to recognize the hazards associated with scaffolding, thereby exposing employees to the hazards associated with falls.
