29 CFR 1910.252(c)(6)(ii): Indoors, welding or cutting involving zinc-bearing base or filler metals coated with zinc-bearing materials was not done in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.252(c)(3): Welding area, on or about 4/16/14: Mechanical ventilation in a room of 4140 cubic feet was not provided for welders working on carbon steel containing zinc. A welder was exposed to an 8-hour time weighted average of zinc at 0.64 milligrams per cubic meter for the 450 minutes sampled. Abatement certification must be submitted for this item.
