29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A):Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: (a) Super Stone Global Inc. located at 87 14th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215 Employees working in the warehouse, performing the manufacturing of stone products are exposed to the hazard of chemicals. Employees are required to wear 3M N95 8210 series particulate respirators while handling chemicals such as but not limited to respirable crystalline silica when fabricating stone products. The employer failed to ensure that employees complied with the no facial hair requirement to protect employees from respirable crystalline silica exposure while wearing the respirator. Condition observed on or about December 27, 2023 NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1,000 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19
