29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d). Facility at 3 Dexter Road in EAST PROVIDENCE, RI: a. On or about April 4, 2023, an employee (EE B) working in the finishing area at oven 4 rewind was exposed to an 8-hour TWA of Particulates Not Otherwise Regulated, Total Dust, of 17 mg/m3, in excess of the 8-hour TWA permissible exposure limit of 15 mg/m3 without adequate administrative or engineering controls. b. On or about April 4, 2023, an employee (EE C) working in the finishing area as a coater was exposed to an 8-hour TWA of Particulates Not Otherwise Regulated, Total Dust, of 30 mg/m3, in excess of the 8-hour TWA permissible exposure limit of 15 mg/m3 without adequate administrative or engineering controls. c. On or about April 4, 2023, an employee (EE E) working in the water jet area was exposed to an 8-hour TWA of Particulates Not Otherwise Regulated, Total Dust, of 17 mg/m3, in excess of the 8-hour TWA permissible exposure limit of 15 mg/m3 without adequate administrative or engineering controls. d. On or about April 4, 2023, an employee (EE C) working in the finishing area as a coater was exposed to an 8-hour TWA of Particulates Not Otherwise Regulated, Respirable Dust, of 7.1 mg/m3, in excess of the 8-hour TWA permissible exposure limit of 5 mg/m3 without adequate administrative or engineering controls.
