29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(c): On or about October 24, 2013 at worksite 1017 SW Drake Circle in Lees Summit, Missouri- Employees were laying a sanitary sewer line in a trench that was between 8 and 14 feet in depth, between 3 and 8 feet in width, the length of the trench was in the shape of an "L" and was greater than 40 feet in length and the trench was not protected from a cave-ins by any adequate protective systems. ABATEMENT VERIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM IS NOT REQUIRED.
