29 CFR 1910.1048(g)(2)(ii): For employees using air-purifying respirators with chemical cartridges or canisters that do not contain end-of-service-life indicators approved by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, the employer did not replace these cartridges as specified in 29 CFR 1910.134(d)(3)(iii)(B)(1) and (B)(2) or at the end of the workshift, whichever condition occurs first: a) Embalming Room - On or about April 30, 2013, the employer had not established or implemented respirator work rules which ensured that the employees' respirator cartridges were replaced at the intervals specified in paragraphs 29 CFR 1910.1048(g)(2)(ii)(A) and (B) of this section. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
