29 CFR 1910.146(g)(1): The employer did not provide training so that all employees whose work was regulated by 29 CFR 1910.146, permit-required confined spaces, acquired the understanding, knowledge, and skills necessary for the safe performance of the duties assigned under 29 CFR 1910.146. On or about 25 June 2025, employees of Gilster-Mary Lee Corporation, located at 615 Old St. Marys Road in Perryville, Missouri, were exposed to mechanical, thermal, and atmospheric hazards when working inside a permit-required confined space. Employees were inadequately trained to recognize the mechanical, thermal, and potential atmospheric hazards that existed in the known permit-required confined space, Sugar Coat 1 Oven.
