29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1):The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: (a) At 112 Plugs Drive, Decatur, AL: On or about 10/19/2024, the employer failed to provide heat resistance face shield and eye protection for employees working with water where thermal hazards are capable of reaching up to 340-degrees Fahrenheit at boiler #1. b) At 112 Plugs Drive, Decatur, AL: On or about 10/19/2024, the employer failed to provide heat resistance face shield and eye protection for employees working with water where thermal hazards are capable of reaching up to 340-degrees Fahrenheit at boiler #2. c) At 112 Plugs Drive, Decatur, AL: On or about 10/19/2024, the employer failed to provide heat resistance face shield and eye protection for employees working with water where thermal hazards are capable of reaching up to 340-degrees Fahrenheit at boiler #3. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records
