29 CFR 1910.28(b)(11)(ii): Stairways. The employer must ensure each flight of stairs having at least 3 treads and at least 4 risers is equipped with stair rail systems and handrails as required by TABLE D-2: On or about July 6, 2024, to July 25, 2024, the employer did not ensure the staircase having 10 risers and 9 treads leading from the kitchen to the cellar had one stair rail system on each of the two open sides, exposing employees to trip and fall hazards.
