29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2) as referenced in 29 CFR 1926.103: Employee(s) using tight-fitting facepiece respirators were not fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator, whenever a different respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) is used, and at least annually thereafter: Location: 8200 JFK Boulevard. North Bergen, New Jersey 07047 a) The employer did not ensure that employees using a tight fitting respirator were fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator. Employees performing concrete grinding activities using a Bosch Concrete Surfacing Grinder wore Honeywell 5500 half face respirators with P100 cartridges and 3M 8210 N95 disposable respirators without a prior fit test. An employee conducting grinding activities outdoors was exposed to 51 micrograms per cubic meter, which exceeds the permissible exposure limit (PEL)50 �g/m3. The employer was sampled for 155 minutes. Zero exposure is assumed for the remaining 325 minutes. Violation occurred on or around May 14, 2024.
