Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002C Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.178(l)(4)(ii)(E):A condition in the workplace changes in a manner that could affect safe operation of the truck. a) On 25th May, 2023, it was observed at the US Postal Service DMDU Annex in Catao, at the entrance that connects the North Platform and the Automated Parcel and Bundle Sorter, that, although there is a sign indicating the ONE-WAY direction when coming from the APBS area, and another sign indicating 'WRONG WAY' in the opposite direction coming from the North platform, there are arrows on the floor indicating the transit in both ways. This condition can cause confusion among the powered industrial truck operators about the flow of traffic and expose workers to struck by or caught between hazards during the transit of powered industrial trucks. NOTE: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by CFR 1903.19(c) and (d), respectively.
