29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i):The employer did not provide adequate training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program was understood by employees: On or about May 10, 2023, the employer did not ensure employees understood the purpose and function of the energy control program, nor had the employees acquired the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, use, and removal of energy control devices, in that employees did not understand the requirement to lockout CNC machines, Engine Lathes, Milling Machines, Horizontal Band Saws, Cutter Machines, etc. Failing to isolate all potential energy sources during maintenance and servicing operations could result in serious injuries such as crush-by, struck-by, third and fourth degree burns and/or electrical shock hazards.
