29 CFR 1910.307(c): Equipment, wiring methods, and installations of equipment in hazardous (classified) locations was not intrinsically safe, approved for the hazardous (classified) location, or safe for the hazardous (classified) location: (a) Polishing - Employees used a Shop-Vac (not approved for Class II combustible dust) to vacuum aluminum dust sludge from the Filter 1 Hydrotron wet-type dust collectors, exposing employees to the hazards of fire and explosion, on or about October 27, 2022. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
