29 CFR 1910.134(i)(5)(iv): The employer did not ensure that compressors used to supply breathing air to respirators were constructed and situated so as to have a tag maintained at the compressor containing the the signature of the person authorized by the employer to perform the change: a) Punxsutawney Finishing Works, Inc., 1857 Woodland Ave Extension, Punxsutawney, PA 15767, Abrasive blasting/Compressor area, on or about August 26th, 2022 and times prior thereto: Company employees were utilizing supplied breathing air from two oil-lubricated Quincy air compressors (Model: QST50ANA32S0 Serial # 99412H; and Model: SI02ANA3JG Serial#90611) through a supplied air respirator associated with a Radex airline filter system. The company's filter system did not have contain a signature of the person that last performed the filter change out. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
