29 CFR 1910.134(k)(1): The employer did not provide effective training that covered the required elements in 1910.134(k)(1)(i) through 1910.134(k)(1)(vii): a) APX Industrial Coatings, Inc. 9473 Lincoln Way West, Saint Thomas, PA, Worksite - Sanding Area. Employee(s) were not adequately trained on the use of the respirator as personal protective equipment, its limitations, cleaning/storage, etc. while wearing a 3M N-95 (Model 46457) Filtering Facepiece Particulate Respirators, exposing employees to health hazards from aluminum dusts while conducting sanding operations, on or about January 26, 2022. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
