29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Split Steel Cell, OJIM splitter machines - On or about October 7, 2021, the mag separators that were part of the coolant recovery system were left unguarded on all seven machines where employees are exposed to rotating parts and ingoing nip points. NHI Mechanical Motion DBA New Hampshire Industries was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1509705, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 26, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 35 Connecticut Riverbend Place, Claremont, NH 03743.
