29 CFR 1910.1053(j)(2):The employer did not post signs at all entrances to regulated areas that bear the following legend: DANGER : RESPIRABLE CRYSTALLINE SILICA MAY CAUSE CANCER CAUSES DAMAGE TO LUNGS WEAR RESPIRATORY PROTECTION IN THIS AREA AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY On or about June 2, 2021, the employer did not post signs to regulated areas. A). The cut-off saw operator was exposed to respirable dust containing crystalline silica at 62.3769 ug/m3 which is approximately 1.2475 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 50 ug/m3; exposure calculations included a zero increment for 7 minutes not sampled. At this time employees are being exposed to levels above the PEL.
