29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: a) Shop: On or about March 26, 2021, and at times prior, the employer exposed 6 workers to chips and flying debris while operating a Delta six-inch grinder that was missing both tongue guards. Abatement Note: The employer followed Corrected During Inspection abatement procedures (the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet is not required).
