Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002C Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(d)(5)(i): All potentially hazardous stored or residual energy was not relieved, disconnected, restrained or otherwise rendered safe after the application of lockout or tagout devices to energy isolating devices: (a) Transdev Services, Inc., at 7500 E 41st Avenue, Denver, CO: On and preceding 2/17/2021, the employer did not ensure that all potentially hazardous stored or residual energy was relieved or otherwise rendered safe after the application of lockout or tagout devices to energy isolating devices. Employees performed maintenance, including work involving the air filter, of a Champion Advantage air compressor. The air compressor had electrical and pneumatic energy sources. The compressed air was not bled from the air compressor prior to performing service. This condition exposed employees to an uncontrolled energy hazard.
