29 CFR 1910.178(n)(6):Traveling. The driver shall be required to look in the direction of, and keep a clear view of the path of travel. a) On or about 11/19/2020 the forklift operator for the Mitsubishi model# FG30N forklift that did not keep a clear view of the path of travel in that an employee holding the granite slab hanging from the hoist attachment was struck by the forklift while trying to correct the granite slab position. b) On or about 12/03/2020 employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by the Mitsubishi model# FG30N forklift in that employees were guiding the granite slabs to assists forklifts operators ability to look in the direction of and maintained a clear view of the path of travel due to their view being obstructed from the various sizes of hanging slabs being transported to different locations within the warehouse.
