29 CFR 1910.29(b)(2)(iii): (iii) Intermediate vertical members (such as balusters) are installed no more than 19 inches (48 cm) apart; (a) Packing Robot 10/11 - On December 3, 2019, the employer did not ensure that intermediate vertical members were installed no more than 19 inches apart. The distance between the vertical members throughout the guardrail system including the vertical members located at the end of the south platform guardrail system measured approximately 30 inches. In accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete and must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase, or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
