29 CFR 1910.107(b)(9): A clear space of not less than 3 feet on all sides was not kept free from storage or combustible construction. On or about October 29, 2019, the employer did not ensure that metal racks, containers of powder coating, wood boards, cardboard boxes, and/or wooden racks were not stored within 3 feet of the sides of the following spray booths: a. Powder shop, 1st cabinet spray booth, b. Powder shop, 2nd cabinet spray booth, c. Powder shop, primer cabinet spray booth, d. Powder shop, spray booth, e. Plating building, spray booth near west wall. Employees sprayed powder coatings (combustible dusts) or liquid coatings (flammable liquids) at the cabinet spray booths or spray booths and were exposed to fire and explosion hazards.
