29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(12): Ladders shall have nonconductive siderails if they are used where the employee or the ladder could contact exposed energized electrical equipment, except as provided in 1926.951(c)(1) of this part. a. Located at 404 Edinburgh Road in Dublin, Ohio: On or about July 30, 2019, employees were using an aluminum extension ladder near energized overhead 7,620 volt powerlines located adjacent the rear side of the building. The siderails of the ladder were conductive, thereby exposing employees to an electrocution hazard.
