29 CFR 1926.251(a)(2)(iii): The employer did not ensure that rigging equipment not be used without affixed, legible identification markings required by paragraph (a)(2)(i) of this section: a) 801 Boxwood Road, GM Assembly Plant, Wilmington, DE: On or about January 11, 2019, the employer failed to ensure rigging equipment, used with the Komatsu PC1250 LC Excavator, was used with permanently affixed and legible identification markings. Employees were exposed to being struck by wire ropes being used to pull on the structural members of a building being demolished, where the wire ropes contained broken strands and no permanently affixed markings. b) 801 Boxwood Road, GM Assembly Plant, Wilmington, DE: On or about January 11, 2019, the employer failed to ensure rigging equipment, used with the two CAT 349FL Excavators, was used with legible identification markings, exposing employees to being struck by wire ropes being used to pull on the structural members of a building being demolished, where the wire ropes contained broken strands and no permanently affixed markings.
