29 CFR 1910.1026(g)(1)(i): The employer did not provide each employee an appropriate respirator during periods necessary to install or implement feasible engineering and work practice controls: (a) Chrome Shop: On October 16, 2018, an employee conducting chrome plating operations was exposed to an airborne concentration to hexavalent chromium at an 8-hour Time Weighted Average of 8.1 micrograms per cubic meter of air for the 477 minute sampling period. The employer has not provided and required the use of appropriate respiratory protection for employees exposed to hexavalent chromium greater than the permissible exposure limit of 5.0 micrograms per cubic meter of air. (b) Chrome Shop: On October 16, 2018, an employee conducting chrome plating operations was exposed to an airborne concentration to hexavalent chromium at an 8-hour Time Weighted Average of 7.3 micrograms per cubic meter of air for the 472minute sampling period. The employer has not provided and required the use of appropriate respiratory protection for employees exposed to hexavalent chromium greater than the permissible exposure limit of 5.0 micrograms per cubic meter of air. (c) Chrome Shop: On October 16, 2018, an employee conducting chrome plating operations was exposed to an airborne concentration to hexavalent chromium at an 8-hour Time Weighted Average of 7.3 micrograms per cubic meter of air for the 464 minute sampling period. The employer has not provided and required the use of appropriate respiratory protection for employees exposed to hexavalent chromium greater than the permissible exposure limit of 5.0 micrograms per cubic meter of air.
