29 CFR 1910.37(b)(6): Each exit sign was not illuminated to a surface value of at least five foot-candles (54 lux) by a reliable light source and be distinctive in color: a) Warehouse (Section 600): The emergency door #6 had a broken Exit sign and it was not illuminated at all, exposing employees to fire hazards as observed on or about June 27, 2018. b) Warehouse (Section 800): The Exit sign in the upper level was broken and it was not illuminated, exposing employees to fire hazards, as observed on or about June 27, 2018. c) Warehouse (Section 800): The Exit sign located above emergency door #9 was not illuminated, exposing employees to fire hazards, as observed on or about June 27, 2018. d) Warehouse (Dock Area): The Exit sign located above the exit door was not illuminated, exposing employees to fire hazards, as observed on or about June 27, 2018. e) Warehouse (Dock Area): The Exit sign located above the exit discharge door was not illuminated, exposing employees to fire hazards, as observed on or about June 27, 2018. f) Microfilm Dept: Two Exit signs located above the front and back doors were not illuminated, exposing employees to fire hazards, as observed on or about June 27, 2018. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
