29 CFR 1910.28(b)(6)(i): Each employee less than 4 feet (1.2 m) above dangerous equipment was not protected from falling into or onto the dangerous equipment by a guardrail system or a travel restraint system, unless the equipment is covered or guarded to eliminate the hazard. a) 9000 River Rd, Delair, NJ, 08110- Anodizing: Employees who walked on the edge of anodizing tanks containing corrosive chemicals to retrieve aluminum pieces that had fallen off the crane, were not protected from falling, occurred on or about, 2/13/2017. b) 9000 River Rd, Delair, NJ, 08110- Foundry: Employees who walked on the casting tables during the pouring of molten aluminum into molds to check for cracks in the mold, were not protected from falling into the molten metal, on or about 3/15/2017. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
