29 CFR 1910.157(g)(1): An educational program is not provided for all employees to familiarize them with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire fighting: The employer does not ensure employees who have been instructed to put out fires have been provided with training on the proper use of fire extinguishers. This violation was most recently observed on October 5, 2016. Employees are exposed to fire hazards. To abate this violation the employer must either train employees on the proper use of fire extinguishers or instruct employees not to attempt to put out a fire of any size and quickly evacuate the building.
