29 CFR 1910.24(h): Standard railings were not provided on the open sides of all exposed stairways and stair platforms. Handrails were not provided on at least one side of enclosed stairways preferably on the right side: Instance a. Shed building - On or about September 20, 2016, the staircase used for entering the building was not provided with handrails on either side of the staircase. Instance b. Diesel tank #1 - On or about September 20, 2016, the staircase utilized for accessing the top working platform was not provided with handrails on either side of the open staircase. Instance c. Race headquarters building - On or about September 20, 2016, the staircase utilized for accessing the building was not provided with mid-rails on either side of the open staircase. Instance d. Buildings & rounds building - On or about September 20, 2016, the staircase leading to the basement area was not provided with a handrail on either side of the staircase. Instance e. Flying Bear Chairlift - On or about September 23, 2016, both staircases leading down from the walking platform was not provided with mid-rails on either side of the open staircases. Instance f. Pumphouse - On or about September 23, 2016, the staircase leading into the pumphouse was not provided with handrails on either side of the staircase.
