29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes: A.) Presque Isle Wine Cellars, Inc., 9440 West Main Street, North East, PA 16428, chemical breakdown area, on or about September 15, 2016 and times prior thereto: Employees were performing work activities that included, but not limited to, diluting sulfuric acids and breaking down chemicals into smaller containers. Employees were not provided with, or wearing, hand protection to prevent chemical burns to the hands and wrists.
