29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: On or about August 25, 2016, and times prior thereto, at this facility, Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair, when operating in spray booth, cleaning the plastic products, loading coating agents into supply systems and working with and around hazardous chemicals. The employer did not ensure that all his employees that were wearing respirators had no any facial hair that compromises the respirator facepiece-to-face seal and respiratory protection.
