29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: a) Production Area: An extension cord powering various components on machine #40 including a lamp and a machine sensor was installed and used in place of permanent wiring exposing workers to an electric shock hazard, on or about July 9, 2013. b) Swager Area: An extension cord providing power for the length counter on Swager A was installed and used in place of permanent wiring exposing workers to an electric shock hazard, on or about July 9, 2013. c) Die Shop: An extension cord providing power to a relocateable power tap (power strip) was installed and used in place of permanent wiring exposing workers to an electric shock hazard, on or about July 10, 2013. d) Warehouse: An extension cord providing power to a fixed receptacle mounted on a pedestal adjacent to machine #14 was installed and used in place of permanent wiring exposing workers to an electric shock hazard, on or about July 10, 2013.
