29 CFR 1910.253(b)(4)(iii): Oxygen cylinders in storage shall be separated from fuel-gas cylinders or combustible materials (especially oil or grease), a minimum distance of 20 feet (6.1 m) or by a noncombustible barrier at least 5 feet (1.5 m) high having a fire-resistance rating of at least one-half hour. (a) Inside Mechanic's Shop at office complex, 47 County Road 261, Shubuta, MS 39360 - On or about February 12, 2013, employees working in an area south of the tire cage were exposed to fire and burns due to having two (2) full 4 feet 6 inch high oxygen cylinders being stored within 4.75-5.42 feet of one (1) 307 cu. ft. acetylene cylinder and being stored close to cardboard boxes.
