29 CFR 1910.263(i)(7)(iii): A sufficient number of stop buttons was not provided to enable quick stopping of conveyor(s) where the hazard of getting caught existed: a) On or about August 14, 2012, and times prior thereto, at the Flowers Bakery in Thomasville, GA, the employer failed to ensure that employees working in the fermentation box adjacent to moving dough troughs were protected by electronic sensors per the manufacturer's design to enable quick stopping of the conveyor system, exposing sanitation employees to serious injuries resulting from struck-by and crush-by hazards. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED.
