29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): Guard for abrasive wheel machine where the operator stands in front of the machine was not constructed so that the peripheral protecting member could be adjusted to the constantly decreasing diameter of the wheel: (a) Aerocom Industries at 1921 Miller Drive, Longmont, CO 80501: On and before 6/1/12, the employer did not ensure that the bench grinder located in the maintenance room had the correct distance between the wheel periphery and the end of the peripheral member at the top and did not exceed 1/4" because the adjustable tongue was missing. This condition exposed the employees to the hazard of flying chips and debris. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is NOT required for this item.
