29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: a) Applegreen - Panda Express Restaurant: On or about 6/6/25, employees poured and sprayed liquid corrosive chemicals such as but not limited to Dawn Multi-Surface Heavy Duty Degreaser (sodium hydroxide, monoethanolamine) and poured DCT High Temperature Grill Cleaner (potassium carbonate) to clean various surfaces and the employer did not provide and ensure that employees used appropriate eye protection(e.g., chemical splash goggles or equivalent). The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19, failure to comply will result in additional penalty of $ 1,000.00.
