29 CFR 1910.268(j)(3):Vehicle-mounted elevating and rotating work platforms. These devices shall not be operated with any conductive part of the equipment closer to exposed energized power lines than the clearances set forth in Table R-2 of this section. On or about October 8, 2024, an employee of Massillon Cable TV, Inc. dba MCTV, Inc. was operating an uninsulated vehicle-mounted elevating and rotating articulating work platform (boom truck) and did not maintain an approach distance of 24 inches or greater (as prescribed in 1910.268 Table R-2) of an electrically energized 7,200 volt overhead power line with the conductive part of the equipment (basket) while installing fiber optic cable on utility poles located at 4614 Manchester Ave, SW, Navarre, Ohio.
