29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. a) 731 Avenue H, Columbia, PA 17512 - On or about August 8, 2024, employees were conducting sand blasting using Silicon Carbide without the use of gloves attached to the CrystalBlast 3624 cabinet to hold the cup in place with their hands to prevent skin exposure to the blasting of the sand. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
