29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(C): Employees whose work operations were in an area where energy control procedures were utilized were not instructed about the prohibition relating to attempts to restart or reenergize machines or equipment which are locked. a) Production Area, Rip Saw Machine: On or about June 12, 2024, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to electrical, struck-by and caught-in hazards, in that affected employees were not instructed on lock-out/tag-out procedures and the prohibition to restarting or re-energize equipment, such as but not limited to the Rip Saw, that have been locked out.
