29 CFR 1926.502(d)(16)(iii): Personal fall arrest systems, when stopping a fall, shall be rigged such that an employee can neither free fall more than 6 feet (1.8 m), nor contact any lower level. a) On or about May 28, 2024, with respect to a worksite located at 2408/2410 Canter Lane, Green Bay, WI 54304, the employer did not ensure the personal fall arrest systems were rigged so that the employees would not free fall more than 6 feet or contact the ground in the event of an unexpected fall. The rope grab portion of the fall protection system was connected at the end of the rope which would not have prevented the employee from contacting the ground during a fall. b) On or about May 28, 2024, with respect to a worksite located at 2412/2414 Canter Lane, Green Bay, WI 54304, the employer did not ensure the personal fall arrest systems were rigged so that the employees would not free fall more than 6 feet or contact the ground in the event of an unexpected fall.
