29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2): Supported scaffold poles, legs, posts, frames, or uprights did not bear on base plates and mud sills or other adequate firm foundation: a) On or about May 18, 2024, at a worksite located at 2565 Georgia Ave NW, 1st floor, the employees were working on a scaffold system erected near an open elevator shaft. The scaffold was not equipped with mud sills or base plates, exposing the employees to tip hazard. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
