29 CFR 1910.133(a)(3): General Requirements. The employer shall ensure that each affected employee who wears prescription lenses while engaged in operations that involve eye hazards wears eye protection that incorporates the prescription in its design, or wears eye protection that can be worn over the prescription lenses without disturbing the proper position of the prescription lenses or the protective lenses. (a) On or about April 29, 2024, the employer did not ensure that employees who were exposed to chemicals including but not limited to Norox MEKP-925 (permanent eye damage) and polyester resin solution (eye irritation), wore prescription safety glasses or were provided with safety glasses that fit over their prescription glasses.
