29 CFR 1926.651(h)(1): Employees were working in excavations in which there was accumulated water, or excavations in which water was accumulating, and adequate precautions had not been taken to protect employees against the hazards posed by water accumulation: (a)Stone Hill Excavation, LLC at 351 South Douglas Street, Salem, SD 57058: On or about and at times prior to April 22, 2024, the employer did not ensure that employees were protected against the hazards associated with working in excavations with water accumulation by using either special support systems, water removal systems, or safety harnesses with lifelines. This condition exposed employees to cave-in hazards associated with trench wall cave-in.
